A versatile joint-stock company, "Laplandia" is mainly engaged in the building of fish-breeding plants in the country's North-West and in the Republic of Karelia. The company has an appropriately licensed floating-assembly team and a design group; it maintains business contacts with its partners abroad. At present, together with Finnish contractors, JSC "Laplandia" is building the Neva Fish-Breeding Plant and housing for its workers in the village of Osrovki, Vsevolozhsky District, Leningrad Region. The company is also building similar plants in the Republic of Karelia: on the island of Valaam (jointly with the Patriarchate) and in the village of Sosnovets, Belomorsky District.
JSC "Laplandia" is doing planning and surveying work to reconstruct the Svir, Luga and Vyga fish-breeding plants; building an office for the "Sevzaprybvod" administration, a rabbit-breeding farm (with a capacity of 10 tons of meat per annum); doing "Eurostandard" repairs to dwelling houses, shops and cafes.
JSC "Laplandia" is engaged in breeding and catching fish in its own water reservoirs in the town of Novaya Ladoga and the village of Pashozero, Tikhvin District. The company has its own fishing boats. And it conducts extensive commercial and charitable activities.
